This section does not require completing the earlier section.
First go to Telin Darkforest (Level 55) in Burning Woods. He roams near to the Skyfire zone and has been sighted at +3234, +2871. Ask him "what action" and he will give you a note. If he doesn't, then your faction is too low. Faction can be built up fast by doing the muffin-quest in Freeport. (Wolf form works if he con apprahensive it takes you up to amiably)
Next, find Faelin Bloodbriar in Greater Faydark. Faelin spawns at +1500, +500. The placeholder is a roaming orc pawn that spawns at 7 minute intervals. The best tactic is to roam around. Once you do find her, give her the note and you receive a ring. After giving her the note she despawns.
Giz X'Tin (Level 40) is found in Kithicor near the path from West Commons to Highpass Hold. Give him the ring and he gives you a dark metal coin. Giz roams along the path. After you hand him the ring a level 50 Teir`Dal Reaver spawns and attacks you. Be prepared and have Spirit of the Wolf cast on you so that you can run away.
Go back to Telin Darkforest and give him the Coin. He will give it back to you as worn metal coin. He tells you to find Althele. Find Althele in East Karanas. She can be found just north of the barbarian fishing village. (Make sure you are Amiable Faction or better) Give her the worn metal coin and receive a worn amulet. Give this amulet to Sionae (spawns -2300, -930)(She can be standing either on the East or West side of the farm located there, so check both sides), then to Nuien (spawns -3650, -300) and finally to Teloa (spawns -3800, -2860).
When you give the amulet to Teloa the Dark Elf Corruptor and two Dark Elf Reaver (All around level 50) spawn. You should have one of your druid friends stand on the hill east of the river (loc -1500, -1000)(it will take a minute or two before they spawn after turning in to Teloa, there will be a zone message from the Corruptor when they do). [Edited 3/11/17]: The Dark Elf Corruptor and 2x Dark Elf Reavers will stay spawned at the loc provided until you engage them (In p99 Green they will go to the Druids at the beach, I am unsure if this is just a Blue patch). It is best to have your kill group stationed at the loc on the hill, you only need to kill the Corruptor and loot the tome (it is suggested to stand near the farm where Sionae was located and just look north up the mountain to watch for them, invis and them run up next to them when you see them and Harmony off to the side to not aggro, then pull away the Corruptor). You can kite the Reavers around (Snareable) and turn in the tome without having Althele get killed by the Reavers and then zone out and the Reavers will depop shortly after. (If you are feeling brave enough to solo as a Ranger in the 50s and risk having to do the Epic all the way over, Buff HP, MR, DR, FR, SoW, DS and Regen and peel Corruptor away with Harmony followed by snare/root). Edit 7/13/22: On blue, the three mobs all start running, they do not stay still waiting for you to engage them; at least you have a minute or two to get ready.
Give Althele the tome and he gives you an Earth Stained Note. Bring this to Ella Foodcrafter.
Ella Foodcrafter in Misty Thicket is this wanted women that wanders the zone. Give her the Earth Stained Note and she will tell you that she needs a mixture. She will give you her mixing bowl. It is a Container so you need a free slot in the Inventory. She also mentions some kind of ancient bowl that she needs.
You must forage 4 items that you have to combine in Ella's mixing bowl:
Go to these places and put the "Forage" button into your hotkey, find a nice safe space and hit forage continuously. This can take several hours so be prepared. When you get the items, combine them in the bowl and you get a Hardened Mixture.
Now go to the Chess Island in Timorous Deep. The easiest way to do this is to take the barge from the Oasis docks to Timorous Deep, and then get on the boat to The Overthere. If you get off this boat just before it enters The Overthere you can easily run to Chess Island, especially if you cast Levitate and Spirit of Wolf before getting on it. You'll probably also want Camouflage, as there's a deadly Iksar on Chess Island, you'll want to avoid.
On Chess island run south. Run straight south. Use track to locate Alrik Farsight. He's at about -6500, 2000. Alternatively, Succor (Druid 57) and Evacuate (Wizard 57) both take you within 100 feet of Alrik.
Click off Camouflage, hail Alrik, then say "How do you make an ancient bowl?" and "I can take the artifact." He gives you a Crushed Pot and sends you to Felwithe.
You can use the teleportation firepots, which are south a ways from Chess Island, to get to Felwithe easily.
Hail Farios Elianos in South Felwithe before you give him the crushed pot. Farios is in the merchant building near the caster's guild. When you enter South Felwithe, you'll see the entrance to the merchant straight ahead, whereas the entrance to the caster's guild is to the left.
If he doesn't respond to you then your faction with Keepers of the Art is too low. Do not give him the pot. Indifferent is not enough, you need amiable. You can build up faction fast with the batwing-quest in South Felwithe.
''11/29/16 - He might not respond to your hail but if your faction is amiable or higher you shouldn't have a problem handing him the crushed pot and getting the grocery list.
''01/22/25 - He NEVER responded to my hails, but took as long as faction is okay he works fine.
(This quest is simple and cheap but time-consuming. In EC, right near the zone to WC, there is a merchant south of Orc 2 camp, an Erudite. She sells bat wings, cheap. Select the wings from her list, hold down shift and click on Buy about 5-6 times. You'll have 5-6 stacks of wings. Head back to South Felwithe, run to the mage guild, and hand in wings, 4 per stack in all 4 give slots, to Niola Impholder, a trainer in the Felwithe Mage guild. It took me two full backpacks of wings to go from indifferent to amiable, and I am a Wood Elf follower of Tunare.)
Once Farios cons amiable and talks to you, give him the pot and you receive a grocery list. The dialogue with the NPCs for this segment is pretty funny. He will give you the receipt for the bowl if you do a job for him. Bring this grocery list to Merchant Nora in the Shop of All Halos in Felwithe north, which is near the cleric guild. She gives you in return a bag of Provisions. Bring it to Farios and he gives you the receipt for the ancient bowl. Head back to Alrik Farsight in Timorous Deep. He will give you an Ancient Pattern when you give him the receipt.
The pattern says that you have to combine it with a piece of enchanted clay and platinum speckled powder in a pottery wheel. No skill in pottery is required.
Platinum Speckled Powder can be obtained through another sub quest.
Forage a Rose of Firiona in Firiona Vie and give it to Merdan Fleetfoot in Surefall Glades, a male ranger in the back of the zone, near the water. The old wooden painting that you receive has to be brought to the human skeleton (Level 40) spawns in Frontier Mountains at -261 -574, behind the giant fort, against the wall, on the mountain side.
Invis yourself to be left alone by the wandering mobs. Look for "A Human Skeleton" on track. Give it the painting and it will crumble, and you'll have a silver chained locket in your inventory.
Back to Surefall Glade. Give the locket to Niera Farbreeze, a human female in banded armor, also near the water but close to the druid guild building. She will hand you the platinum speckled powder.
Enchanted Clay can be obtained through Kinlo Strongarm in Kaladim's EverHot Forge. If you ask him "what mud" and "do it for me" he will tell you that he would like to have a colored axe for his service. He wants a Jade Reaver that can be found in the City of Mist off of A black reaver who is about level 52. This is not easy at all. The Reaver is a rare drop and the Black Reavers are a real pain to take down. You will need at least one full group of 50+ players if not two, and one must be a Rogue with high lock picking skills.
Hand Kinlo the axe and you get the enchanted clay. If you hunted dwarf citizens in Butcher, invis yourself and head to the forge. The merchants, thankfully, are on a different faction table. Just go to the Everhot Forge and hand Kinlo a Jade Reaver to get the clay. Now combine the pattern, clay and powder in any pottery wheel to make the Runecrested Bowl.
Go Back to Misty Thicket and hand Ella Foodcrafter the hardened mixture and the rune crested bowl. She will make for you a softly glowing stone from it. Ella tells you to find one such as yourself.
Go to Karnor's Castle. Kill Venril Sathir for the Pulsing Green Stone.
Kill VS to spawn Venril Sathirs remains. If Venril Sathir has already been killed by another guild, the remains should already be up. If not it spawns every 20 hours +1/-1.
Cast the spell Dance of the Fireflies to Summon a Firefly Globe. Give the Firefly Globe to Venril Sathirs remains to spawn the Spirit of Venril Sathir. Give the scroll for the spell Resurrection to the Spirit of Venril Sathir to respawn Venril Sathir.
After you kill this respawned version of Venril Sathir two Pulsing Green Stone will drop.
Go to Firiona Vie. Give the Softly Glowing Stone and the Pulsing Green Stone to Foloal Stormforest to get the Warmly Glowing Stone.
Head back to Burning Woods and give Telin Darkforest the Warmly Glowing Stone to get the Ancient Longsword.
Now head to The Hole which is a zone adjacent to Paineel. Find Jaeil the Wretched (level 50). Use Sneak and then go behind Jaeil and give him the Shiny Tin Bowl. Make sure you have a raid party in the room ready for battle. He will scream at himself and then Jaeil the Insane will spawn.
Now the raid party goes into action and kills Jaeil the Insane. Loots from Jaeil the Insane a Soulbound Hammer.
Go to Erudin and find Mairee. She is in the jewelry shop, by the bank. Give her the Soulbound Hammer and in return she will give you the Dwarven Smiths Hammer.
Now go to the Plane of Air and kill the Essence Tamer. He spawns on the fourth island and drops the Swirling Sphere of Color.
Take the Dwarven Smiths Hammer and the Swirling Sphere of Color and give them to Mairee. In return, she will give you the Hammer of the Ancients.
Go back to Kinlo Strongarm and give him the Hammer of the Ancients.
After you give Kinlo Strongarm and the Hammer of the Ancients. Usbak the Old will spawn and he will give you Small Bit of Mithril Ore.
Give Usbak the Old your Ancient Longsword and he will return to you the new and improved Refined Ancient Longsword.
Hand the Mithril Ore to Kinlo to get the Refined Mithril Blade.
Go back to the Burning Woods, to Telin and give him the Refined Ancient Sword. This causes Faelin Bloodbriar to spawn and Telin will give you back the Refined Ancient Sword.
Give the Refined Ancient Sword to Faelin and she will enchant it for you and return to you Swiftwind, the first epic weapon.
At this point she despawns after saying some stuff about how you have to kill Innoruuk to rebalance the world. That is exactly what you are going to do.
Go to the Plane of Hate and kill Innoruuk. His location is (-65, -196) and he spawns about once a week. He is a level 55 Wizard with approx. 32,000 hit points. He is a green looking man wearing clothes. Loot the Shattered Emerald of Corruption.
Take the Refined Mithril Blade and the Shattered Emerald of Corruption to Xanthuus the Treant in North Karanas. In return he will give you the last epic weapon, the Earthcaller.
Earthcall is a 50% slow with a DoT that does 500 damage over 2.5 minutes. Swift Spirit increases your ATK by 30 and also has a 40% haste.

Speak to Telin Darkforest in the Burning Woods. He is located near the Skyfire zone. If your faction isn't high enough with him (halflings don't start with enough faction), you'll need to improve it. An easy way to raise faction is by completing the Muffin for Pandos quest (a bunch of times; 80 stacks of muffins should get you around ally with no previous negative faction hits, but might be overkill--empty out a couple of backpacks and go at it to be safe).

Telin Darkforest gives you a "Worn Note" which you need to take to Faelin Bloodbriar in Greater Faydark.
Faelin roams around Greater Faydark and has an Orc Pawn as her PH. Their spawn point is at loc +1500, +500.
Faelin Bloodbriar gives you Faelin`s Ring to take to take to Giz X`Tin, who is located in Kithicor Forest.
Giz X'Tin gives you a Dark Metal Coin.
A Teir`Dal Reaver will spawn when you get the Dark Metal Coin however you do not need to kill it.
Head back to the Burning Woods and give the coin to Telin.
Telin Darkforest gives you a "Worn Dark Metal Coin" to take to Althele in East Karana.
You say, 'Hail, Althele'
Give the coin to Althele.
Althele gives you a Braided Grass Amulet to take to Sionae.
You say, 'Hail, Tholris'
You say, 'Why do you need him as your hands and Fang as your eyes?'
Sionae spawns after you get the Braided Grass Amulet. Give the amulet to Sionae.
Sionae gives you a "Frayed Braided Grass Amulet" to take to Nuien. Give the amulet to Nuien.
Nuien gives the "Frayed Braided Grass Amulet" back to you, and Teloa spawns near the waterfall. Give the amulet to Teloa.
Teloa begins walking toward the gathering spot. 'Follow me to the gathering now.'
Follow Teloa back to where Althele is, which is where the druids are gathering. You will not have the amulet at this point as she does not return it to you.
Althele snaps her head towards you. 'Innoruuk's brood is upon us. Go, find the spawn of hatred before they reach this point and destroy them!'
Dark Elf Corruptor and two Dark Elf Reavers spawn. You need only the Corruptor and loot the Fleshbound Tome.
It is not necessary to kill the two Reavers but if you don't, they'll wander to the druids and kill them. Allowing this to happen will waste your time, as you need to hand the "Fleshbound Tome" you looted off the Corruptor into Althele.
Althele hands the book to Tholris who reads through it with lines of concern etched on his face, then whispers into her ear. 'Dire news, indeed. This cannot be allowed. I must keep this book but you must not allow Innoruuk, to seed the land with his hatred and filth. You have only just begun your quest. The path you are guided upon will be difficult, if not impossible, but someone must finish it. Please, take this, read of it, follow its instructions. Tunare bless your path and Karana watch over you.'
Althele gives you the "Earth Stained Note" and the druids despawn.
Head to Misty Thicket and find Ella Foodcrafter. She wanders the path near Rivervale and won't be hard to track down.
You say, 'Hail, Ella Foodcrafter'
Give the Earth Stained Note to her.
You say, 'What two tasks?'
Ella Foodcrafter gives you a Shiny Tin Bowl which identifies as Ellas Reflective Tin Bowl to create the Hardened Mixture.
You say, 'What is the second task?'
Now, you will need to forage:
Combine these four items in the Shiny Tin Bowl to get a "Hardened Mixture." Don't destroy the tin bowl, as you'll need it later in the quest.
Seek out Alrik Farsight who roams near the chessboard in Timorous Deep. He is on Keepers of the Art faction. You will need to be at least amiable to him in order for him to speak to you. It may be raised by doing a bat wing turn in quest described here.
You say, 'I seek an ancient type of bowl made by the elves of old.'
You say, 'I will take the artifact.'
Alrik Farsight gives you "Crushed Pot" to give to Farios Elianos in Southern Felwithe.
Farios Elianos gives you a "Grocery List" to give to Merchant Nora.
Merchant Nora gives you a "Bag of Provisions" to take to Farios Elianos.
Take the bag of Provisions back to Farios Elianos and give it to him.
Farios Elianos gives you a "Receipt" to take to Alrik Farsight.
Go back to Alrik Farsight and give him the Receipt.
You receive an Ancient Pattern.
Go to Firiona Vie in Kunark and forage a Rose of Firiona.
Now head to Merdan Fleetfoot in Surefall Glade:

You say, 'Who is Niera?'
Give Merdan Fleetfoot a Rose of Firiona.
Merdan Fleetfoot gives you a "Wood Painting" to give to a Human Skeleton in Frontier Mountains.
Head back to Surefall and give the locket to Niera Farbreeze and she will give you Platinum Speckled Powder.
Seek out Kinlo Strongarm in Kaladim.

He wants a Jade Reaver from the City of Mist.
Give Kinlo a Reaver, and he will give you Enchanted Clay.
Combine the Ancient Pattern, Enchanted Clay, and Platinum Speckled Powder in a Pottery Wheel to make a Runecrested Bowl, which identifies as "A meticulously decorated bowl." This requires no skill in pottery to do and any pottery wheel should work.
Head back to Misty Thicket and visit Ella Foodcrafter. Give her the Hardened Mixture and Runecrested Bowl.
Ella Foodcrafter gives you the "Softly Glowing Stone," which identifies as Left Half of Natures Balance.
Seek out Foloal Stormforest in Firiona Vie.

Locate Venril Sathir's Remains in Karnor's Castle. VSR spawns about 20 hours after Venril Sathir (real or fake) is killed.
Venril Sathir's Remains says 'The living fire. I seek the fires of life. Bring them.
Use the spell Dance of the Fireflies to summon a Firefly Globe. Give Venril Sathirs remains the Firefly Globe, which causes the Spirit of Venril Sathir to spawn.
Venril Sathir's Remains grasps the glowing sphere of fireflies from your hands. Tendrils of mystical energy begin to flow forth from the swarm of glowing insects like tiny fingers. The glowing tendrils begin to reach into the ribcage of the rotting remains of Venril Sathir, coalescing into the form of an Iksar ghost.
You say, 'Hail, Spirit of Venril Sathir'
Spirit of Venril Sathir says 'So mortals, you seek to end the tainting of Tunare's children? So be it, I have no cares. My death has been caused by this foolishness and I want no more to do with it. Bring me a scroll with the knowledge of resurrection so that I may once again live. I will hand you that which you seek.
Give the Spirit of Venril Sathir the Spell: Resurrection scroll.
Spirit of Venril Sathir says 'I am alive! My thanks to you. And now I will aid you in your quest for preserving the forests of norrath. Your carcass will help nurture the soils of the wilderness.
A "fake" version of Venril Sathir respawns.
Kill Venril Sathir to get the Pulsing Green Stone which identifies as Pulsing with a sickly light. This version of Venril Sathir should be easier to kill as I have been told that he does not Lifetap. He will drop two Pulsing Green Stones and nothing else.
Head back to Firiona and hand Foloal Stormforest the Pulsing Green Stone and Softly Glowing Stone.
Foloal Stormforest gives you the Warmly Glowing Stone, that identifies as Natures Balance Completed.
Head to the Burning Woods and give Telin Darkforest the Warmly Glowing Stone.
Telin gives you an "Ancient Longsword," which identifies as a "Finely Crafted Longsword."
Head back to Kinlo Strongarm in Kaladim and ask him about the ancient.
You say, 'What ancient?'
You say, 'What few tales?'
You say, 'What hammers?'
You say, 'What Erudite necromancer?'
You say, 'What Erudite Enchanter?'
Head to The Hole with a raid and make your way down toward Jaeil the Wretched. Jaeil is indifferent by default.
You say, 'Hail, Jaeil the Wretched'
Stand behind Jaeil the Wretched to make him indifferent to you, then give him the Shiny Tin Bowl so that he will see his reflection.
Give the Soulbound Hammer to Kinlo Strongarm.
Kinlo gives you back the "Soulbound Hammer," which identifies as Hammer of an ancient dwarf.
Off to Erudin Palace to find Mairee Silentone. Talk to her about an ancient hammer.
You say, 'What ancient hammer?'
Give Mairee Silentone the "Soulbound Hammer," which identifies as Hammer of an ancient dwarf.
Mairee Silentone gives you the "Dwarven Smiths Hammer," which identifies as Hammer of an ancient dwarf.
Head to Island Four of the Plane of Sky and kill an essence tamer which drops the Swirling Sphere of Color.
Give Mairee Silentone the Hammer and the Swirling Sphere of Color.
Mairee Silentone gives you the "Hammer of the Ancients," which identifies as Hammer of an ancient dwarf.
Back in Kaladim, hand Kinlo Strongarm the Hammer of the Ancients, which causes Usbak the Old to spawn.
Usbak the Old gives you "Small bit of Mithril Ore," which identifies as Small bit of Mithril Ore.
You say, 'Hail, Usbak the Old'
Give Usbak the Old the Ancient Longsword and he gives you the "Refined Ancient Sword," which identifies as Sword to show Telin.
Usbak the Old despawns. Give the Small bit of Mithril Ore to Kinlo Stirngarm and he forges the "Refined Mithril Blade" for you.
Head to the Burning Woods again and give Telin Darkforest the Refined Ancient Sword. He returns the sword.
Faelin appears.
You say, 'Hail, Faelin'
Give her the Refined Ancient Sword. She enchants it and returns it to you.
This lands you the first half of the Ranger epic:
Now for the Earthcaller.
Head to the Plane of Hate in search of the "Shattered Emerald of Corruption." This item drops randomly off "mini bosses" (Grandmaster R'Tal, Coercer T'Vala, Mistress of Scorn, and Master of Spite confirmed - all "minis" have a 72 hour respawn) and frequently off Innoruuk himself.
Once you've obtained the emerald, find Xanuusus in North Karana.
You say, 'Hail, Xanuusus'
Give Xanuusus the Refined Mithril Blade and the Shattered Emerald of Corruption.
You now have the second half of your epic:
