The following timeline was generously provided by the staff (see ). While their plans can change at any time, it is expected that will follow this timeline.
NOTE: Keep in mind that this does not follow the Patch Notes page exactly, as the original live developers were a bit less organized, and would sometimes release multiple patches in a month (which Project 1999 then combines into a monthly patch).

Timeline notes are being populated via information from archives see and see . Timeline notes are intended to be accurate based upon these sources, and other sources utilized will be linked within the note. Patch changes may be added to notes even though they do not apply to Green server. Some classic features came later than on Green, such as auto-meditate when 35+ and sitting as a caster class. We may see these changes follow a classic timeline on future iterations of these servers.
This older timeline was compiled by Project 1999 players to chart the progress of Blue's development.

The wiki organizes its content into "eras". There are three "major" eras, based on the games core box and two expansion sets, as well as sub-eras within those eras based on major patches.
