NORTH QEYNOS · SERVER AND NATIVE RUST CLIENT
Plan to complete North Qeynos
52% checklist coverage. 9/29 whole checks and 36/83 detailed checks accepted. Work is not complete.
All29 existing top-level checks are assigned below. This plan adds no completion credit. Source evidence, guarded repairs, regression tests and inspected live acceptance are required; uncertain values remain open. The original Titanium client is the presentation/protocol reference, and era-correct P99 evidence is the content reference. Conflicts are recorded and resolved, not silently blended.
Execution order: content inventory → content repairs → live encounter/service batches → complete route and presentation comparisons → packaged Windows/Linux acceptance. A failure becomes a repair/retest item within its batch. Safe independent work continues when one historical reference is unresolved.
Production protections: no occupied-zone resets, broad database deletions or unverified release replacements. Back up exact changed rows/files; test rollback and readback. Do not count teleports, immunity or forced spawns as normal-player acceptance. Global fixes receive North credit only after North verification and do not automatically complete other zones.
1. Freeze the baseline and completion contract
- Retain original Titanium media, extracted dependencies, current DB/quest snapshots and the working QA build hashes. Preserve unrelated edits.
- Keep the existing 29 top-level checks and their weights. Previously accepted fixtures remain regression requirements; new discoveries do not disappear from scope.
Exit condition: Every prior acceptance receipt remains reproducible. No missing dependencies, silent fallback or later-era content is accepted merely because the client starts.
Audit original zone asset dependencies — verified
73 glTF documents across both zones/local models checked: zero missing-file errors. Material limitations remain separate.
Repair and test citizen/guard animation donors — verified
Original-source tests cover male/female citizens and alternate heads in both Qeynos zones.
Verify the accelerated floor-query index — verified
600 source-floor comparisons for this zone passed. This is not full movement/collision certification.
Select classic merchant pricing rules — verified
Read back Merchant:UseClassicPriceMod=true with UsePriceMod=true. Individual prices still need comparison.
Gate identified later tradeskill supplies beyond Velious — verified
133 merchant slots across the two-zone catalog are now gated to min_expansion=3. No items deleted.
Restore original skeleton race IDs — verified
NPC types 2000, 2104 and 2118 now use race 60, not later race 367. Confirmed by DB readback.
Repair missing patrol-grid headers — verified
Grid headers 99 and 101 now exist and reference their 5 preserved waypoints. Route behavior remains a separate open check.
Gate later Seta armor quests; preserve Tomer rescue — verified
13 Perl regression assertions passed across Classic, Kunark, Velious and the retained later branch.
Gate the three verified expansion-era NPCs — verified
Connie Link opens with Kunark; Vegalys Keldrane and Rineval Talyas with Velious. Confirmed DB gates, not a full quest playtest.
2. Close the complete server-content inventory
- Expand the spawn catalog to recursively include script-spawned NPCs, inherited spell lists, local/global loot, items, faction relationships and era filters.
- Resolve the three warrior/noble replacements, generic bat/snake identities, invisible helpers, Kane’s timeline and every reverse-reference gap. Preserve uncertain records until evidence supports a scoped correction.
- Compare every eligible NPC’s level, HP, damage, AC, resists, abilities, speed, aggro, appearance, placement and heading. Distinguish measured evidence from inferred or provisional values.
- Audit every local/global loot item, coin range, drop condition and spell/proc. Repair shared records through isolation where needed; preserve Kunark/Velious unlocks and the permanent later-era ceiling.
- Finish starting-item identities/counts, race/class/deity grants, light sources and fresh-creation cache verification.
Exit condition: Every applicable content row has an era/identity decision, source, expected value and tested disposition. No unexplained roster gaps, dangling dependencies, provisional stats or unverified faction/loot/spell behavior remain.
Check every content entry against its intended era — partial
Reviewed gates and progression checks pass; the remaining entry audit and full starter kit are still open.
- Verify Classic active with later unlocks gated — verified
Runtime expansion 0 and client mask 0 verified; progression stages preserve the permanent Velious ceiling. Evidence - Repair the identified later stock and quest gates — verified
Guarded merchant/spawn changes read back and identified quest branches tested. This is the reviewed batch, not every content entry. Evidence - Finish era review of every remaining content entry — partial
Unresolved NPC, merchant, quest, spell and loot candidates remain. Evidence - Finish the complete Classic starter kit — issue
Food/drink DB quantities are five each. Candle9979 identity/icon/secondary slot/light restored in DB; held model and runtime cache still open. Fresh creation, race/deity grants, backpack and bandages remain. Evidence
Match the NPC roster and spawn locations — partial
Two day/night pairs repaired and morning change observed; Umvera restored to Crow’s tavern with live placement/hail accepted. Exact shift hours, remaining roster/locations and complete cycle acceptance remain open.
- Restore the two confirmed shift pairs and observe morning replacement — verified
Quinon/Leanon and Dagarok/Erabb no longer roll50/50 at all hours. North-only conditions preserve coordinates, grid paths and NPC data. Normal night login loaded Quinon/Dagarok; natural morning replaced them with Leanon/Erabb. All1440minutes ×4 initial states tested. This verifies these roles and the observed morning change, not exact historical hours or the full roster. Evidence - Confirm exact North-specific historical shift boundaries — issue
Current06:00/20:00 boundaries follow Qeynos guard reports and existing South configuration. Exact North-specific hours remain an explicit inference, not certified P99 evidence. Evidence - Resolve every remaining NPC identity and era mismatch — issue
After Umvera relocation:193 spawn points,150 referenced NPC types,125 eligible and25 blocked under Classic filters.109 eligible types have NPC references;16 names need separate handling. North-only snake names2003/2101 corrected to a_snake from official February2019 P99 patch, preserving all other fields and14spawn points; rollback/readback pass. Nearby level1 snake name and indifferent con displayed in native UI after ordinary Temple-to-field traversal and empty-zone refresh. Both definitions/all spawns and full behavior remain open. Three warrior/noble replacements and reverse-reference gaps remain unresolved. See the whole-roster report; no wiki-absence deletions. Evidence - Restore Umvera to Crow’s tavern and verify his live greeting — verified
Official P99 correction places Umvera in North, not South. Guarded spawn relocation and byte-identical quest copy passed readback/tests. Ordinary native player entered Crow’s through the door, visually found Umvera at the documented lower-floor location, selected him and received his named hail response. Exact appearance/facing, timer and full quest remain unaccepted. Evidence - Compare every spawn position, heading and distribution — partial
Umvera’s lower-floor placement is accepted. Preserving the repaired shift pairs’ placements does not certify all city and field spawn points. Evidence - Verify the other placeholders and time-dependent NPCs — unreviewed
Jracol2029 now has a North-only night spawn filter from the official October2011 P99 patch; actual clock predicate passes all1440minutes, rollback/readback and whole-catalog preservation checks pass. Existing location, patrol and50/50 nighttime gnoll placeholder preserved. Natural appearance, dawn lifetime, restored-state behavior and exact historical hours remain open. Kane/Treitan and other pairs remain unchanged until individually supported. Evidence - Accept a complete live cycle, restart and interrupted-spawn cases — partial
Night startup, natural morning replacement, separate daytime restart and now natural evening replacement pass. Native day Leanon/Erabb selection changes to night Quinon/Dagarok; outgoing names disappear, persisted live conditions agree, and an80-second recording is retained. Exact historical hours and combat/respawn interruption remain open. Evidence
Match NPC levels and combat statistics — partial
Ten reviewed fixed NPC levels are repaired in the DB; remaining variable levels, full statistics and live behavior stay open.
- Repair the ten documented fixed NPC level discrepancies — verified
Seta42, Tyokan30, Hanns50, Phin60, Djerr4, Rodcet/Koalindl50; follow-up LuSun50, Roesager50, Gehnus45, Hezlan45. Guarded corrections, rollback rehearsal and full-row readback passed. Empty North zone refreshed; all four follow-up levels verified from fresh live spawn data in the native target UI. Other combat fields remain open. Evidence - Verify all NPC combat-stat fields — partial
Worker variants2022/2025 corrected3/4→2 per explicit P99 patch, covering nine spawn points; conflicting wiki2–3 range recorded. Other worker combat fields unchanged. Normal native field traversal now has a server-confirmed nearby worker target with L2/dubious con inspected in UI; this accepts one level/display case, not both DB variants or all nine spawns. Queen fire proc and3–4 hatchling scripts installed with977 assertions. Exact hatchling tuning, proc frequency and full live encounter remain unaccepted. HP, AC, damage, resists, abilities, movement and aggro still need comparisons. Evidence - Check actual combat behavior against those values — unreviewed
Database field checks are not live combat acceptance. Evidence
Verify loot and coin — unreviewed
Check local and global loot, item versions, drop chances, currency and era restrictions.
Verify NPC spells and abilities — partial
Three documented later-spell gates repaired on isolated North lists. Exact remaining spell sets, class-era conflicts and live mechanics remain open.
- Gate the three confirmed later spells on the reviewed North NPCs — verified
Lancot Flame of Light1454 and Dagarok Grim Aura346/Shroud of Pain1458 now require Velious. Private lists preserve shared defaults and every other copied field; Classic/Kunark/Velious filter matrix, rollback rehearsal and full-row readback pass. This is database gate acceptance, not observed combat casting. Evidence - Resolve every remaining spell/proc and class-specific era rule — partial
Fresh dependency inventory follows inherited lists and level filters. Umvera Paralyzing Earth has conflicting global-wiki and class-specific P99 evidence; original list restored rather than retaining an unverified restriction. Remaining per-NPC spell choices, ability flags and historical casting levels stay open. Evidence - Verify exact cast, proc, pet and ability mechanics — unreviewed
Queen proc frequency remains provisional. Damage, duration, targeting, resist behavior, pets, innate effects and cooldowns require acceptance. Evidence - Accept live casting, interruption and progression behavior — unreviewed
Observe representative casts, buffs, procs, interruption, range/line-of-sight and expansion unlock cases. Database eligibility tests do not certify runtime combat. Evidence

Tyokan’s documented primary faction restored without changing shared merchants. Remaining faction data and live checks stay open.
- Restore Tyokan’s documented primary faction — verified
Official P99 May7,2021 patch supersedes November2020: Priests of Life, not Knights of Thunder. Isolated group1481 now uses primary341; old shared group144 and other merchants preserved. Fresh empty-zone boot loaded correction; normal QA con and successful amiable hand-in verified. Evidence - Verify every remaining NPC primary faction and standing — partial
Tyokan’s database repair is not acceptance of all city factions. Evidence - Verify assistance, kill adjustments and quest faction changes — unreviewed
North decaying skeletons2000/2104 now have isolated NPC hostility to gnoll faction306 and NPC scanning enabled, following P99 developer evidence.13North spawn points affected;381 other NPC definitions and shared group38 unchanged. Player primary/kill adjustments preserved; rollback rehearsal and readback passed. Two natural gnoll-pup deaths attributed to skeletons observed after ordinary login; nearby level2 skeleton target/con verified indifferent for normal Human Monk. Full combat behavior, every variant, exact radius and social assistance remain unaccepted. Tyokan’s existing kill-adjustment/assist entries were preserved, not certified. Full city comparisons remain. Evidence - Accept faction-gated interactions in actual play — partial
Tyokan’s amiable con/recharge passed live after a fresh zone boot. Full city standings, indifferent refusal and other faction-gated runtime branches remain open. Evidence
5. Finish doors, terrain, water and zone connections
- Inventory every North door, static object, key/lock, trigger, lift, local teleporter and environmental hazard; record evidence for genuinely absent mechanisms.
- Build a route/landmark matrix for every street, guild, shop, tavern room, temple level, field, secret tunnel and sewer entrance.
- Compare original/native terrain and object views at matched positions; verify walls, floors, ceilings, trees, rocks, water boundaries and all interior visibility regions.
- Walk each route normally, including stairs, slopes, jumps, falls and moving floors. Finish every sewer round trip and source-authored same-zone teleport.
- Match race/body collision dimensions and water entry, swimming, breath/drowning and recovery. Never treat a camera fix as terrain or collision acceptance.
Exit condition: All route segments and mechanisms pass in the original-reference comparison and native client, with no missing world, unintended zone reload, wall bypass or invalid water behavior.
Test every zone boundary and destination — partial
Original departure volumes, both South round trips and Hills round trip pass. Both local Temple portals now pass the standing-Human QA fixture; remaining hull/server-warning cases and sewer routes stay open.
- Use original departure regions, not packet arrival coordinates — verified
Live walk reproduced two unwanted North reloads near the temple. Original BSP region triggers now replace guessed circles where available;194 library tests and source-asset exit regression pass. Normal-player re-walk reached the Temple of Life without a reload. Evidence - Cross the western South Qeynos exit and return without latched movement — verified
Normal native player crossed North→South→North. Released movement during loading; South stayed at(-442,464), North at(-5,-151), with a second delayed North receipt unchanged. This follows a reproduced/fixed held-key loading defect; no position edits or GM transport. Evidence - Cross the other South exit and the Hills boundary in both directions — verified
Both South exits and North→Hills→North now pass normal-player round trips. Hills stationary receipts matched at(69.25,-220), settled feet-7.844; North return receipts matched at(72.375,1395), feet0. Original departure volumes used, movement released through loading, terrain/NPC views inspected. No GM transport or position edits. Evidence - Accept every sewer entrance and return route — unreviewed

Lower source region probe repaired;259library tests, actual-asset walk regression and Linux/Windows builds pass. Narrow server false-warning repair now passes10278sanitized replay/rejection tests,24actual map-loader checks and isolated full build. Not runtime deployed: pending maintenance decision. Other race/size/posture hulls and live-server warning acceptance remain open. Evidence

Door 8 original hinge, heading, scale and appearance inspected against Titanium. Outward-normal regression fails on old assets and passes on corrected export. Evidence - Walk through and click the monk-guild door — verified
Normal player blocked from both sides while closed; server-confirmed opening allowed passage. Mouse picking and closing tested. Evidence - Match the tested ordinary door’s swing and hold times — verified
Two original recordings: about 0.8 seconds to swing, 10 seconds fully open, and 0.8 seconds to close. Native live recording reproduces the cycle. Other types and exact easing remain open. Evidence - Inspect every remaining door/object, lock and trigger — partial

Exit condition: Every required North visual/audio/animation condition has inspected original/native evidence and regression coverage. Asset existence or a passing unit test alone is insufficient.
Verify live NPC and equipment appearances — partial
Original comparison exposed and repaired zeroRGB tint, missing secondary/preview items and mirrored world avatars. Remaining mounts/effects and complete NPC/player appearance coverage stay open.
- Render the original uncolored monk tunic without blacking it out — verified
Same normal character in original Titanium shows material4 monk chest art with item color0xff000000. Native now treats zeroRGB as no tint, preserves genuine nonzero dyes, and shows the chest texture in the live world and inventory.201 library tests passed at this build. Evidence - Accept every live NPC model, skin and equipment combination — partial
Pelshia, Sabnie and Nerissa have inspected original/native plain, leather/cap and robe/cap matches after repairing QCN→HUF.
